What a great Christmas we all had. Such a celebration and great family times together.
You told me that you and mommy were going to bake gingerbread men to see if they would come to life. These are sure the best years. You give such joy to all of us.
You got a woodpecker a few weeks ago and you and Bryce name everything and you named him Pecker! it was pretty funny to hear you talk about Pecker .

My sweet Bowen,
You are very intrigued with Uncle Danny. It is pretty funny. I told you last week that I was going to his house and you wanted to go with me because you really want to go to his house. I said "I would love to have you go with me but I am going on Thanksgiving" and you said, "Oh, I can't go then." Seems so funny to hear a little four year old tell me that.

My dear Bowen,
We had Chase's birthday party here at our house a few weeks ago, b/c everyone was here and not everyone was going to be able to make it to Uncle Danny's house. Anyhow, a couple weeks after the party, you said to me "you know how Papa says a prayer to God before we eat?" and I said yes, and you said " well, he forgot to say it at Chases birthday party." I couldn't believe that you even noticed. Your mommy says you seem to be very spiritual. I think children can have a closer relationship with God than adults sometimes and you have that relationship.
You are going through some growing pains and your mommy says sometimes you wake up in the night crying. Poor little fella.

My sweet little Bowie
Uncle Danny and Aunt Marissa and Chase came home last weekend for a family wedding and we all came to your house so Chase could take a 4 wheeler ride and you were so funny. Chase was sleeping when we pulled in , so you took Uncle Danny for a ride and then when Chase woke up his daddy was going to take him and you said "I better go" and your daddy said, "I think we better just let Chase and Danny go alone in case Chase is scared, so he is just with his daddy" and you said "I think I better go b/c what if uncle danny goes to fast"!!!
Then when everyone was done Danny said "Bowen and I went on a new path in the woods" and you said "I told you not to tell daddy about that path" that was so funny, we all cracked up about that.
Then later we were talking about it and you said "maybe danny forgot it was a secret"!
Before Uncle Danny came home you were telling me that he is very tall and daddy is older than Danny but danny is taller. but uncle shaney is shorter but he is younger (so, i guess that is ok) . But you just couldn't seem to wrap your mind around danny being taller than your daddy. Then when we were all on the boat and Danny stood up and you said "Danny is really tall"
I would think at 4 years old, we would all be tall to you, but I guess you can tell the difference.

My little chatterbox Bowen
You are such a character, and you crack me up. You spend the night at the lake house last week and you talked quite a bit in the night and I told your mommy that you have so many things to say that they have to come out while you are sleeping too!
Bryce started school this week, so it was just you and Caden. And at one point, you said "does Caden know he is a baby? I'm trying to make him watch me"
We were outside playing and you said "if you had a bungee I could tie this cart to my tricycle and be able to pull Caden!" I said he might fall off and you wanted to know if I had a seat belt that we could use to strap him down.
I put sunscreen on both of you and there was a dot of sunscreen on Caden on his cheek that I did not get rubbed in and you pointed it out to me and I said, i better rub it in and you said " no, I like it there, I keep looking at it and it makes me smile."
You just love the lake house and love going there. You told your daddy, I just love it there. I hope it will hold many happy memories of your childhood there

Mr Bowen,
we all went to Uncle Danny's house last weekend and we went to the ocean and spent 3 nights with Uncle Danny. Before we went down, you asked me the day before if Danny knew we were coming down and I said yes and you said "well, what if he forgets?" And then later you said "I LOVE going to Uncle Danny's house" haha, and your daddy says "do you remember the last time you were there, you had a little melt down?" and you didn't want to talk about that. so funny!!
We talked about when Chase comes up here that he would love to take a four wheeler ride and you said, "we would need to tie him down, hmm, i don't know what we would do, maybe use a bungee cord to tie him down, ummm that might not work, i just don't know" cracked me up.
I drove down to Uncle Danny's early in the day with Uncle Shane and Aunt Staci and Caden and Papa rode with you guys later in the day. Papa couldn't believe how much you talked, you just don't stop. Oh my sweet Bowen!!
you are such a little love. Papa and I had you kids up to the cottage over July 4th week and took you fishing. You are not too much of a fisherman, but you gave it a shot. After you stood there for 2 minutes, you said " I am going to have a cookie and rest for awhile" and after you rested , you tried it again for about 2 minutes and said "I am really tired of fishing now". I can feel your pain Bowen :)
We had a great weekend., seems like there is never enough time to do everything we want to tho. You went tubing with mommy and daddy and we went to the parade and saw fireworks.
I just love you to pieces Bowen and you are such a fun kid to be with.

My silly little man!
I took you for a walk the last time you were here and the township workers had been working at a place on the side of the road, but they hadn't been there for a few days and as we walked by, you said "backhoe tracks" I couldn't believe you, to me it was just mud but boy you saw the tracks the second we walked by.
I just heard the song "puff the magic dragon" on the radio and it made me get teary eyed. It is a sad song about a little boy growing up and not coming out to play with the dragon anymore. And it made me think of my three boys all grown but of you growing up someday into a young man!

You spent the night last night and we were talking about something and you told me you knew that. And I said "Oh, how did you know about that?" and you said "b/c my daddy told me" and I said "Wow, your daddy knows everything" and you said "My dad does know everything but he doesn't tell me everything!" So funny, you just crack me up.
You have a blankey that you carry everywhere and you call it kucky (from when you were a baby) and the poor kucky is falling apart. A little part came off the night you were here and I know how you are with your kucky , so I asked if you wanted it and you said "no, you keep it, everywhere I go I drop one so everybody has one, Baba and Meme and Mommy and you" (haha you sound like you are a rabbit, everywhere you go, you drop one) I am going to try to put a picture on here of what you gave me :)

My dear little Bowen,
Man, I am so in love with you.
The other day we picked up Bryce from preschool and you are just chatting away and asked her " What did you learn today?" and she just basically ignores you. :( But it doesn't seem to matter b/c you just keep chatting.
I had a bowl of jelly beans on the table and you have been eating them and loving them. Yesterday I had a family dinner and of course all the jelly beans disappeared and you asked me if I put them somewhere and I said no and you said "someone ate more than two" , so sad. Gramma promised she will buy you more jelly beans.

Oh my little Bowie,
You are one special little fella. I have to remember over and over that you are only three years old. I have such fun with you and you can talk about anything and are more articulate than a lot of adults.
Yesterday you were in the car with me and it was snowy and I stopped at a stop sign and my car made a noise and you asked what it was, so I told you it was anti skid b/c of the snow. And you started a story about how your mommy and daddy were driving and it happened to their car but there was no snow and the police officer was in his house so that was good. As we talked for a bit, I figured out that they must have been speeding but it was good the police officer was in his house and not out giving tickets. And I said, How do you know this stuff Bowen , and you said " I just know stuff but I don't know about painting, I have never painted and I don't know how, but I do have some tools, they are pretend tools, but I can still do stuff with them but I can't do painting." You just crack me up.
Last week you and Bryce slept over, and when I was in the kitchen I heard you say, "I love to spend the night with Grammie" Boy melt my heart.

The other day when you were here you asked for a snack and I said what would you like and you paused a second and said "well, you look around for one". You just crack me up. You can talk more than any kid I know, you talk a whole lot more than Bryce. You are non stop. Over Christmas your dad dropped you off here and your mom was coming in a bit, so it was only me and Aunt Marissa and she was cracking up b/c you never shut up, you chattered the whole time. She said I never believed he could talk this much.

Oh Bowie!!
Last night you guys spent the night and you both wanted to watch Cinderalla, so I was trying to get it on my media center and it wasn't working right and right away you said, you better call Uncle Shane. And I tried a few more things and my Ipad was looking the same as the TV and you were very impressed with that and asked how I did that and I said Uncle Shane did it and you said Oh that Uncle Shane he can do everything! haha, cracked me up that a 3 year old knows that Uncle Shane is the one who does all our movie and TV stuff.
