 My precious Bowen,

You just went to Camp Fitch this past week for the fifth grade get to know everyone.  You were so so excited and it made me so happy to see such excitement.  You truly LOVE life and all aspects of life.  No matter what you do, you do it well, and you love it!

Your school does a candygram which is where you spend $1 for one and put a label on the candy bar TO: and FROM: and then the candy bar is delivered during the day at school.  I asked how many you bought and you said $20 and I said wow, that is a lot and you said "I wanted to give some to the kids who wouldn't get one" and I asked how did you know and you said "from last time we did this I saw some kids who didn't get one"  Well, Bowen, that almost made me cry that you are that empathetic to your fellow students.  I just can't believe you would think of this as an 11 year old.  Your parents sure have done something right huh?  You are such a great boy and I love you more than life itself.

 My sweet Bowen,

I am so in love with you, you are just the sweetest kid ever and you are so well-rounded.  You love to do everything and are good at everything you do and you are smart too.  You have it all young man and I am so proud of you. 

I want you to believe deep in your heart that you are capable of achieving anything you put your mind to.

Remember to always keep your mind open to what others have to say.  God can speak through other people.  And sometimes we just need some advice or someone to listen to us.

 My sweet Bowen

You and Bryce and Caden and Kiera were very anxious to start back to cousin day at grami's house.  So we did our first back together on Wednesday and went you went home you said to your mama that you had sooo much fun, playing outside and eating no bakes....Mom, you said, that's a pretty good day.  Cracked me up.

 My dear Bowen,

The other day Caden was here and he said "I hope Bowen doesn't go to college" and he started to tear up and I asked why and he said "because I am afraid he will go away and won't talk to me anymore"  How sad is that.  You love him so much. And as you can see, he loves you so much.  You were with him on saturday and you guys just walk around with your arms around each other.  I sure hope you stay close because family is so important and will always be there for you in times of crisis. 

Remember you are in control of your destiny and you can change your course. You are in charge.  I love you

 My dear Bowen,

You hold a very special place in my heart and I sure love you. It has been a pretty hard year for everyone, because of the quarantine.  This winter you and your family came to Florida to spend a week with Papa and me.  It was a pretty laid back week and we didn't do a whole lot.  

You played pickleball with me and the others.  You played volleyball in the pool with all the old ladies and you loved it. I am so glad you joined in, it was great to have you do that.

THe best part was driving the golf cart, boy you love that part.  You also loved shuffleboard.  You would run back and forth the court everytime someone shot. even tho you could see them without running.  It was so funny.  You had the best time.

we went for ice cream one night and you wanted a root beer float and they didn't have it, so you looked very perplexed and said "I didn't have a back up plan, I will have to think for a minute" haha

when I asked you what you wanted me to have in Florida for you you said "root beer and steak"

I love you young man and you will be a very successful adult.  You have so many great qualities about you and I love being with you.

I gave you a journal when you came to Florida so you could write your travel experiences and you really liked that idea, you wrote in Florida and then you wrote more on your car ride home. You said you can't wait to see how many pages you can fill out when you go places.

 My sweet Bowen,

I just love you to pieces!!  Here is a cute story and I forgot to write it down.

This summer Caden was back in his woods with his 4 wheeler and he put one wheel over the edge of a bridge.

 we all went for a walk down the road and i seriously wished i could have recorded you.  You asked caden how tall his muffler is on his 4 wheeler and what was he doing with his leg when he burned it.  did you bend your leg or was it straight? well, just tell me everything, i want to hear the whole story.  so caden starts to tell it and you are like, how deep was the water, could you get it out, whose property was it, how many wheels were over the edge. how big was the space between the bridge and the water, etc, etc.   I couldn't believe how many questions you could think to ask. 

Remember Bowen, you can do anything you set your mind to, don't let anyone tell you you can't do something, because you have a great determination and a creative mind.
