 My dear sweet Bowen,

Gosh, I am so in love with you, you are the bestest ever!  

The other day you had a soccer game and you scored 5 or the 6 goals.  Then you got home and you went cross country skiing, then you put on an old pair of downhill skis and went in your woods to do that. You never seem to run out of energy. 

Every Tuesday when your mama has chemo you always ask how she made out, how sweet. Of course, your mama always says good, she will never let you know the truth.  Because you are 12, and she will see to it that you enjoy your year. You are very blessed to have her for your mama.  Of course, I think you are blessed to have your daddy too. He was my first born and will always hold such a special place in my heart.  You and him are so very close. I just love to see the relationship you two have, it is so special. 

REmember I may not be here for the rest of your life but I will love you the rest of mine.  And never be afraid to express your feelings. 

We went to see the play Oliver two weeks ago and you had a good time.  We will be sure to do more, because I love plays

 My dear Bowen

You are such a joy to be around and you are the most well rounded kid I have ever known. 

You are playing football this year for your first year and you love it.  You said you still like soccer better, then football, then pickleball :)

Today is your last game.

Your mama was just diagnosed with breast cancer. We are all so devastated by it all. If I could take it for her, I would gladly do that. It is going to be such a hard road for all of you.  You were concerned she would lose her hair and unfortunately she will.  She so has got a couple hair pieces, one with a hat and a free wig and you model all of them for her. It cracks us up, because you can make it fun for her and not so sad.  One of my Florida friends that I showed her the pictures, cracked up also and she said "boys can be goofy and girls just never are"  You play pickleball with you, so she knows you.  And lasy year in Florida, we bought you an umbrella hat and you wore it around the park. So funny.

Your mama is doing everything she humanly can to make this year not bad for you and Bryce and she is such a strong person.  

I love you honey, don't ever be afraid to be goofy, because people love goofy.

 My dear Bowen,

 When you were in Florida with us you absolutely loved playing Pickleball with all of us. The other day you and your mom were talking about sports and you told her your second favorite sport is Pickleball. Your mom said she didn’t dare laugh even though she wanted to. Your favorite sport is soccer, but you have done wrestling, you do basketball, and you just started football. You are very athletic yet you love Pickleball. Which cracks me up. But hey, I love Pickleball too and sodas Papa.

I picked you up yesterday to take you to three on three basketball. It was 915 and I could tell you were exhausted. You were hardly talking which is not like you. And I said summer vacations are not much of a vacation are they, it’s very tiring. And you said I know it’s more like rush-hour.

I sure love you, and you sure enjoy life and all it has to offer.

 My dear Bowen,

I can't tell you enough what a sweet boy you are.  You are so kind and you love life. Everything life seems to hand to you, you figure out to make it good and work for you.

You are playing soccer outdoors now and brrr, it is cold, but you just love to play.  Your team is not doing very well this year, but you are still so happy to go play.

One night we were at Bryce's volleyball game and you went to the restroom and was so excited because the air dryer could be turned and blow your hair.  Cracked me up.  You are such a great dresser and always look so good and then you go in the bathroom and blow your hair up :) You thought it was the coolest ever.

 My dear Bowen!

You are such a sweet guy and I sure love you.  You are in florida right now and having the best time ever. You love living the retired life. We play pickleball in the morning, ride bikes, swim in afternoon and shuffleboard in the evening.  Last night we were over at shuffleboard and you said to me “ when I retire, I want to live here!” And I said “hey, you can have my house because I will be dead by then” and you said “ that will be sad,…I will have all my friends over and have a party playing shuffleboard.  Cracked me up, ( you didn’t mean you would have a party because I died, just meant, hey life goes on and I just love it here and we will all enjoy it)

Today is st Patrick’s day, so you brought gold coins and tonight you put them on different peoples driveways and golf carts. You were so funny to do that and so excited.  You are so so good at sports, everything you do, you excel. One of my friend here asked me if you were good at everything. 

Tomorrow we are all going on an airboat ride. You will really love it, I am sure.
